JFK, Typical Philly Stadium. Built with the best intentions, but neglected until it was a crumbling eyesore just like Baker Bowl, Shibe Park/Connie Mack, the Vet, and even the Spectrum. At least with Franklin Field, UPenn takes care of it.

Well i can't say that I ever saw the Baker Bowl but it so true what you say. The other part is that none of them seem to have the charm that you would want to keep them around either. What charm did the Vet have? The courthouse and jail? No Fenway, Wrigley, Dodger Stadium in the whole lot. I was living in Miami until recently and while it was in terrible need of updates, the Orange Bowl was still a great place to watch a football game. I had no problems dealing with all of its inadequacies and much preferred it to Joe Robbie/Pro Player/Dolphin/Landshark/Sun Life Stadium.

Graffiti on the Baker Bowl right field wall:

THE PHILLIES USE LIFEBOUY

(Graffiti-ed below that)
and they still stink!
